Spotlight: Becc Snow, Director of Alchemy Salon—A New SUKU Salon Partner
At organic SUKU Pro, we are thrilled to welcome Becc Snow, the director of Alchemy Salon in Collingwood, as our newest SUKU Salon partner. Known for her passion, commitment, and drive to foster inclusivity, Becc has successfully created a salon environment that celebrates diversity, especially for clients with textured hair. Here’s what Becc shared with us about her journey, her love for organic SUKU, and the changes she believes the hair industry needs.

Why Becc Joined the Organic SUKU Family

Becc was inspired by our founder, Lani, and the vision behind organic SUKU. "It’s very important for my business to align with brands that are passionate about the industry and want to see positive change. After meeting Lani and learning about her mission, I knew I wanted to be part of the family," Becc shared.

Her Favourite Product from the SUKU Range

Among our product line, Becc’s favourite is the Pre-Treatment Detangle Spray. She finds it incredibly helpful for her clients with textured hair, both in the salon and at home. "It’s such an easy product to use and really helps my clients care for their hair better," she says.

Client Feedback After the SUKU Treatment

The response to the SUKU Treatment has been overwhelmingly positive at Alchemy. "Our clients love how the entire system works and how their hair feels afterward. They also gain confidence knowing the story behind the brand and that these products are made specifically for textured hair," Becc explained.

Becc’s Favourite Way to Style Tight Textures

When it comes to styling, Becc is all about embracing natural textures. "I love the transformation in our clients' natural texture after the treatment system. Simply using a diffuser after a deep cleanse and nourishment brings out the beauty of their natural hair, and it’s so special to see them wear it with pride."

A Change Needed in the Hair Industry

Becc is passionate about seeing a shift in the education system for apprentice hairdressers. "We need true inclusivity from the beginning of a hairdresser's career journey. Tight textures should be a requirement in Registered Training Organisations and a qualification for hairdressing in Australia."

Creating a Safe Space at Alchemy

Alchemy Salon has built a welcoming and inclusive space for the tight-textured community. Becc ensures her team stays educated and uses social media to represent diversity. "I want everyone to feel safe when they visit our salon. We continue to grow our skills and knowledge of all hair types so we can service any client who walks through our door.
