Styling Tight Textures
Alyse’s favourite way to style tight textures is to embrace the hair's natural shape using the organic SUKU range. "I love starting with the Pre-Cleanse Treatment Spray to remove product buildup, preparing the hair for the Clarifying Cleanser, followed by the Moisture Rich Cleanser," she explains. Depending on the hair's density and health, she then applies either the Light Moisture or Deep Nourishing Treatment before a steam session. This process enhances the hair's natural beauty, leaving it feeling and looking well-cared-for.
Back at the styling station, Alyse saturates the hair with the SUKU style for optimal hydration and coil definition. "I love making the hair sit full and as big as the client feels comfortable wearing." she adds.

Alyse believes that the hair industry must ensure that all professionals are equipped to work confidently with all types of textures. "As professionals, we owe it to ourselves and our guests to be inclusive. Everyone deserves to be pampered, and everyone should have that experience."

Regular training sessions with organic SUKU and salon owner Alannah Read, along with interstate guest artists, are part of their commitment to continuous education. They’ve also structured a pricing system tailored to the specific needs and timing of textured hair.
